What students say after class

Ratings checked: Google October 7, 2026, Trustpilot October 9, 2026.

My mother was very nervous and uncomfortable with handling firearms before the class, but Thomas was incredibly patient and made her feel comfortable from the beginning.

Zakary H., CCW classTrustpilot, September 2026

As a complete beginner, I was a bit nervous, but Thomas provided great tuition and I immediately felt more comfortable with shooting and handling firearms.

De, first-time shooterTrustpilot, July 2026

I have now taken 3 ccw classes and I learned more real life scenarios in this class than I have in all training before!

Daniel H., CCW classTrustpilot, September 2026

Thomas perfectly tailored the private CCW class to my specific experience level and everyday reality, without a hint of gatekeeping or trying to aggressively upsell his other courses.

Ferdinand L., private CCW classTrustpilot, August 2026

I enjoyed the class, everyone was engaged, there were lots of interaction and the part I like most is the scenarios, the “what would you do” scenarios.

An added bonus was that the range where we trained had breathtaking views of the mountains and desert and Las Vegas.

Questions before you book

Do I need my own gun?

Not for the CCW and skills classes: you can rent a firearm, eye and ear protection, and buy ammunition, for an extra fee. Armed guard classes are different. Bring the firearm your employer approved for the 2-day course, or the pistol you currently qualify with for requalification.

I have never fired a gun. Is that a problem?

No. Basic pistol starts with how a handgun works and how to handle it safely. A private lesson lets you set the pace.

How long is the Nevada CCW class, and what is the test?

It takes 8 hours. You need 70% or more on a 50-question written exam. Then you fire 30 rounds at 3, 5 and 7 yards and need 70% on target. The class fee does not include the state permit application fee.

Is the PILB fee included in the armed guard course?

Yes. The $225 price includes the $25 PILB fee. You also need a VEAS form signed by your security employer, and you attend both days.

Can I get a refund or move my class?

Bookings are not refundable. For a group CCW class, give at least 2 days' notice and you may move to a class within six months. Armed guard course fees are not refundable, and missing either day means losing the payment.

Can I add the Utah permit?

Yes. Add Utah Concealed Firearm Permit certification for an extra fee when you book the CCW class.
